Bassist Pino Palladino and guitarist Blake Mills don’t make obvious music. Four years after their first session, Scary Pockets have released over 200 videos watched over 200 million times on Youtube. Collaborating with a bunch of amazing artists, from Katy Perry to Cory Henry, but also Bruno Major, Darren Criss, Larry Goldings and so on. 

Abdullah Ibrahim will remain a legend of jazz and an iconic figure in his country, as well as in the struggles he championed throughout the 20th century, with his music as his banner.

He leaves an indelible mark on history, and on the history of music and jazz in particular.

Aja Monet is a poet and artist from Brooklyn, blending spoken word, jazz and soul. Nominated for a GRAMMY Award for when the poems do what they do, she released the color of rain in May 2026.

Célia Kameni is a rainbow in a hazy sky. Drawing from classical music, jazz, soul, and African and Caribbean sounds, she unveiled her universe with Meduse (2025), before reimagining her repertoire with Gorgones, featuring a string quartet, electric guitar and backing vocals.

Charlie Motto creates electronic and organic pop, somewhere between the intimate and the fantastical. Dressed Like Boys, the project of Belgian singer-songwriter Jelle Denturck, blends pop, soul and indie into a deeply personal and distinctive sound. After making a strong impression with his self-titled debut album in 2025, he quickly established himself on the European scene. His second album, And Then I Woke Up, is set for release in spring 2027.

From Washington to New York, Ekep Nkwelle is carving out her place among the most promising voices in today’s jazz scene. Trained at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Howard University and The Juilliard School, the singer quickly made a name for herself with her power and magnetism.

Her debut album, Cage Bird, is set for release on September 26.

Strasbourg-based trio Nils Boyny, Théodore Eristoff and Matthieu Drago, Emile Londonien blends jazz, broken beat and house, drawing on British jazz and club culture. Following Legacy and Inwards, the trio returns with Kissa, a third album inspired by Japan’s “jazz kissa” listening cafés, due for release on January 29, 2027.

French-Belgian saxophonist and producer Ferdi has developed a distinctive musical and aesthetic identity, blending jazz, indie pop and ’80s-inspired sounds. After collaborating with artists such as Sofiane Pamart, Dabeull and Béesau, he launched his solo project with TAKE 01, followed by Sound of Art, his new album due for release on October 9, 2026. With over 400,000 monthly Spotify listeners, Ferdi is one of the rising talents of the Brussels-Paris scene.

Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer Genevieve Artadi blends jazz, pop and experimental electronics into a singular sound. She returns on October 30 with GVA!!!!!, her fifth album, an energetic and colorful record inspired by her love of anime.

Originally from New York City, Jesse Harris is a songwriter, guitarist and producer who has released over 20 albums under his own name and with his group Cosmo. A Grammy Award winner for Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why,” he has collaborated with artists including Melody Gardot, Maya Hawke, Willie Nelson, John Zorn, Julian Lage and Cat Power.

Julius Rodriguez is now a rising star at the intersection of jazz, soul, hip-hop, and blues, performing alongside José James, Madison McFerrin, and Meshell Ndegeocello. On Let Sound Tell All, through an amorphous blend he simply calls “music,” Rodriguez has merged past and present with stellar results, positioning himself as a torchbearer among a cohort of young New York players bringing history into the future.

Mica Millar has quickly emerged as one of the rising stars of British soul, establishing herself as a fresh and distinctive voice.

Her new album, A Little Bit of Me (June 2026), comes after three years of intense introspection, tracing a journey back to herself following a serious spinal cord injury.

An Austrian rock oddity with a wild, hirsute edge, Mother’s Cake have electrified crowds across hundreds of shows, from Manchester to Melbourne via Mumbai. The Fearless Flyers are an olympic level funk band who are an off-shoot of Vulfpeck. The band features Vulfpeck members Cory Wong guitar and Joe Dart on bass, along with Nate Smith on drums and Mark Lettieri on baritone guitar.

A tubist. Not common. Who gets heads bobbing with his irresistibly danceable tracks, it’s original. It’s the famous UK jazz scene, lively, rich, and exuberant.
