Yoni Mayraz

The cool kid of UK jazz, Yoni Mayraz, returns with Dogs Bark Babies Cryreleased on September 5th on PPK Records, the label founded by Pino Palladino & David Passick.

Highly anticipated after his debut Dybbuk Tse!—praised worldwide and named “one of the best jazz albums of the year” by SF Jazz, with support from KEXP, BBC 6 Music, Bandcamp Weekly and CLASH—the keyboardist and producer was under pressure to deliver… and he did not disappoint.

Joined by bassist Tom Driessler (Yussef Dayes, Jordan Rakei) and drummer Zoe Pascal (Ife Ogunjobi), the album highlights Yoni’s distinctive approach to instrumental music, featuring guest appearances from Fly AnakinTenderloniousMiriam Adefris and JSPHYNX.

Yoni Mayraz describes the album as “an exploration of inner tension—fears and desires, beauty and decay.” Well said: we’re already fans.
