After two albums with his band Square One, Matthis is preparing a third installment as a tribute to the New Orleans musician Dr. John. For this new project, he collaborates with the English singer Hugh Coltman. As both are great admirers of the Louisiana pianist/singer, they decide to explore Dr. John’s sixties period. The result is a sultry blend of New Orleans folklore, the electric ambiance of the band, and Hugh’s smooth vocals.
