JaRon Marshall

JaRon Marshall was born in Louisiana and grew up in Loreauville, where he played piano in the village church orchestra from the age of 11. Eager to expand his horizons, he moved to Texas, where he met Adrian Quesada and Eric Burton, who were in the midst of writing the psychedelic-soul compositions for Austin’s Black Pumas. Marshall joined the band as part of their backing group. In his own compositions, the keyboard virtuoso draws inspiration from figures like Chris Dave, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Kamasi Washington, Grover Washington, and Robert Glasper, offering a jazz sound connected to hip-hop and other related genres.
