Button Masher

GiantSteps - Button Masher

Jake Silverman, aka Button Masher, is an electronic musician, composer, arranger and educator, and a passionate explorer of jazz fusion and chiptune. Since 2018, he has developed a unique sound combining musical virtuosity with video game-inspired textures, appealing to both jazz fans and gamers.

In 2021, he won a GRAMMY Award for his arrangement of Meta Knight’s Revenge with The 8-Bit Big Band, and received another nomination in 2024. He has also collaborated with artists including Phoenix, Sungazer, Adam Neely, Andrew Huang and Dj Cutman.

His new album, Super Button Masher, was released in September 2026 on Brainfeeder.
