Clown Core

Clown Core is an anonymous band from Nevada. Fusing Jazz, Metal, Noise and Circus music, they create a bizarre, experimental style that pairs with their abstract music videos. The band consists of drummer Louis Cole and an anonymous saxophonist who is widely theorized to be Sam Gendel. Both also perform vocals and synth. Almost nothing else is known about them. They first appeared on YouTube in 2008, where they uploaded music videos until the release of their self titled debut in 2010. They disappeared around 2011, only uploading cryptic teaser videos in 2014 and 2017.

In 2018, they returned with the release of Toilet alongside multiple YouTube music videos. These videos also aired on Adult Swim with minor alterations for TV. They once again disappeared the same year, uploading only a teaser in 2019.

In 2020, the band started uploading more videos to YouTube throughout the year, until the release of Van in September. These videos introduced a third member, wearing a ski-mask, that simply drives the van that the band perform in and does not contribute to the music. He later opened for the band on their first tour under the name DJ Driver.

In 2021, a short EP titled 1234 was uploaded to NFT marketplace OpenSea. It was released onto streaming services later that year. The band announced a World Tour in December, asking fans to send city names via their email.
